In 2009, Jason and Darrell Vanderstelt noticed that they were observing the same circumstance over and over-- “Deferred Maintenance” on buildings with potential. These massive, beautiful, old structures were not being taken care of and were becoming a blight to the community. The two brothers made the decision to meld their individual skillsets together, including construction, small business ownership, marketing, and government relations into an industrious partnership. They would acquire, repair, and beautify the community one property at a time.
Larger opportunities, including multi-unit residential and commercial properties soon followed. More recently, commercial opportunities have further allowed them to expand by offering design, planning, and construction services.

JASON VANDERSTELT

Entrepreneurship and community development came at an early age for Jason. He started his first business at 12 years old and still owns it today. At 23, Jason was elected to his local City Council. He has also served on multiple community boards: Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Ronald McDonald House, and Hayes Green Beach Development Council. Jason is currently an active board member of CharlotteRising, a community and economic development group in his hometown. In addition to his 20 years experience in marketing and advertising, Jason brings to the table experience from multiple industries including entertainment, health and wellness, venture capital and construction. The combination of these skills benefit his ongoing involvement in all aspects of development and his passion for community revitalization.
DARRELL VANDERSTELT

Darrell discovered his natural ability to lead while serving as a Civil Engineer in the Air Force. He applied this experience by building an independent enterprise, and later partnered with his brother forming Dutch Brothers Development Group. Darrell has been involved in the launch and operation of multiple investment groups. He also has expertise in the residential development industry and over 15 years of experience in the field. With his leadership, investment mindset, and construction background, you’ll find Darrell onsite at development locations managing multiple teams and making things happen.
